2 weeks left to Easter Sunday
...and I'm happy to report that I'm staying true to my Lenten promises! Hooray! Keeping away from my beloved chocolates...and have not been cursing drivers when I drive...
I realize that I'm blogging a LOT more on bad drivers as a way of ventilation! Like today, as I was heading home from Vivocity, a clueless Mercedes decided to swerve into my lane, and I had to jam my brakes and horn to avoid hitting him. And an elderly uncle decided to stop his car in the middle of the filtering lane to commune with his Higher Power or something (and no, there was no one crossing in front of him), and then moved off WITHOUT SIGNALLING when he noticed cars were overtaking him! Aiyoh! Why are these people allowed to drive on the roads? I really think there should be an IQ test before folks are allowed to own and drive cars.
As for my chocolate sacrifice, some folks may think it's a nonsensical sacrifice but it's really hard for me cos I must eat chocolate every day or get very grumpy...yah, that makes me a chocoholic. Staying away from chocs for 6 weeks helps me to realize that many things in life are not necessary and it's a small sacrifice when compared to what God sacrificed for us. (His Son lah!)
Anyway, Easter is coming soon (Marks and Sparks are selling Easter chocs and hot cross buns already--I adore those cute little bunnies but can live without hot cross buns) and the celebration of New Life is going to start soon. I can't wait for my first Starbucks mocha on Easter Sunday.....and oh yah, of cos, going to church on Good Friday and Easter Sunday!
