Belated epiphany
Sometime back I wondered what had happened to my dreams of working for the lost, the homeless, the hopeless....I was feeling a bit burned out at work, under-appreciated and unvalued, wondering whether I was doing any good at all at my job. Today, I was re-reading that blog entry when I was struck with the realization that I AM doing what I always wanted to do--ie to work with the orphans, the widows, the poor and downcast of society! Duh! Yah, I am a bit slow in my brain-power at times. I am privileged to be one of the few people who are doing something that I love, where I can do something to help make the world a better place, and still have a sufficient income for my needs (not my wants!)
Anyway, that's my epiphany for the day. And I encourage everyone else to search for your own epiphany...not just for today, but for everyday!
